Volunteers and new ideas are always welcome!
HELPING HANDS FOOD PANTRY located in Spring Grove We participate with several local churches in financially sponsoring this ministry. We also have volunteers who put in many hours at the pantry organizing and distributing to those in need. We are fortunate to also have businesses in the area who generously donate goods. The pantry distributed an estimated 300,000 pounds of food to over 5,000 local needy families in 2019. We are proud to contribute to the remarkable accomplishments of the Pantry.
BLANKET MINISTRY This is a group of dedicated ladies who meet once a month and combine work and fun to make beautiful prayer blankets. Blankets are presented for baptisms as well as to those needing encouragement and comfort. In the last several years, this group has made and presented 65 blankets to our congregation and 62 which were donated to the Linus Project, a non-profit organization that helps needy children.
CARD MINISTRY We endeavor to keep in touch with those who may be ill or home-bound by sending greeting cards of encouragement. We also celebrate birthdays with cards. Our aim is to reach out and be a reminder of God’s grace and our togetherness as a church family.
